‘BIGGEST EVER’ WAVE: Surfer Garrett McNamara rides 90ft wave

I’ve always held a great amount of respect for those people who know how to surf. And it doesn’t seem like that’s going to change any time soon either. To be honest, I’ve never tried surfing since I don’t really have that very many options in that respect. I have tried a little bit of skateboarding, but it didn’t go too well. I did have a bit more success with long boarding but given the way I was practicing that, I was nowhere near good. It does look a lot simpler when you just watch but when you give it a try, things are a bit less trivial. And that’s just standing on a board with wheels on a flat surface. I can’t even imagine how long it takes to get used to something such as surfing where you stand on a wobbly board on a wobbly surface.
For some people with loads of experience, like Garrett McNamara that doesn’t seem to be too big of an issue as they tend to tackle waves that are up to 90 feet big, granting them a Guinness world record. Impressive!
