NASA | SDO’s Ultra-high Definition View of 2012 Venus Transit

We’re staying  in space waters a bit more with this post. Err, space, spaces? Not waters. Anyway! There’s no denying that there’s a lot of stuff happening in space all the time. By that I mean ever single moment we think of, there’s something going on. Which is understandable since it is pretty darn big and majestic, how can it not. The only problem is, since space around us is so huge, and our little planet Earth is so very, very tiny, we get to miss most of what’s happening. We only get to see events that happen around us and in our solar system. Telescopes are a great help and all those satellites and observatories we send help us see a lot more than we would by just gazing at the night’s sky.
One of these rare events that we’re able to document is Venus transiting the sun under the watchful eye of Solar Dynamics Observatory. Make sure you watch this is full screen for better experience!
